The Silva 70P compass slips easily into the standard recess on the front deck of many of Nigel's designs. The recess, positioned just beyond the front hatch, is in an ideal place for compass navigation. When navigating by compass, keeping the eyes close to the horizon helps maintain balance and avoids the "seasick-inducing" discomfort often caused when the eyes are focused on a point on the deck closer to the body.
The Silva 70P may be fitted by drilling four holes to
take the supplied self-tapping screws. Instructions come with compass
explaining how to use the provided template.
(In N.America the compass model is available as Brunton Watersports Marine Dash Mount Compass 70P)
